Poem 4: Tomorrow’s Love

Though you may break my heart ten thousand times
Forgiveness is found amidst these lines
Suffer I must as fulfillment surrounds
My presence departs, that you may be found
Forever apart is far too much
Though I may tuck away my touch
And turn my smile toward the night
This temporary silence sheds truth’s light
— Sparrow, return to my care
— Rest entombed in my arms of repair
Promises you’ve hoped for have arrived
Replenished soul, it’s time to arise
Broken walls are strong again
Hopeful hearts, our love ascends
Nails pierce certain death away
Once lost in collapsing doom
It appears tomorrow’s love has bloomed
